Richard Charles Doty
Richard Charles Doty, born in Barton, New York, was raised in a military family and lived on various military bases throughout the United States and Europe due to his father's service in the United States Air Force. Richard developed a passion for sports during his upbringing, excelling in baseball, football, and wrestling.
After graduating from high school, Richard followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Air Force, where he was assigned to special operations during his active duty. Upon leaving the Air Force, he attended a private college and was later hired by the Air Force Office of Special Investigation (AFOSI) after completing intelligence courses taught by the AFOSI, Defense Intelligence Agency, and Central Intelligence Agency.
As a counterintelligence officer at Kirtland AFB, Richard was briefed into a special access program detailing the U.S. Government's historical involvement with extraterrestrial entities and UFO investigations. He investigated numerous cases involving UFO sightings and extraterrestrial contact by Air Force personnel, including notable incidents involving UFOs over a nuclear weapons storage area and a private security contractor’s contact with a landed UFO at Kirtland. Another famous case involved Paul Bennewitz, a private citizen who unwittingly tapped into a highly classified project at the base.
In the 1980s, Richard was assigned to Area 51, where he performed counterintelligence duties. Following his military career, he worked at the Institute for Advanced Studies at Austin under Dr. Hal Puthoff, focusing on special projects. Richard also lent his expertise as a technical adviser to several film companies on movies involving UFOs, UAPs, and extraterrestrial subjects.
Currently, Richard is employed by GAIA and appears on the Cosmic Disclosure series with Emery Smith, where he shares his extensive knowledge and experiences in the field of UFOs and extraterrestrial research. His unique background and firsthand encounters make him a highly respected figure in the ufology community.
